Air Force One sneakers were first released in 1982. These sneakers were named after the airplane used to carry the President of the United States. Air Jordan sneakers, on the other hand, were first produced in 1985. Those sneakers were named after famed basketball star, Michael Jordan.

Availability

The Air Force 1 and the Air Jordan sneaker models are available to both men and women. The Nike Air Jordan is also available in youth sizes. However, customers are warned to stay away from the Little Air Jordan XIV sneaker. Created for youth, this sneaker was recently recalled by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission. The sneaker has been deemed unsafe due to prohibited amounts of lead that were discovered in the bottom red trim of the shoe.
